Abstract

The study investigates the level of parental care provided to kindergarten children during the COVID-19 pandemic lockdown in Jordan, with particular attention to parents’ academic qualifications, age, and gender. A descriptive survey design was employed, using a 30-item questionnaire developed in accordance with the study objectives. The instrument covered three dimensions of parental care: emotional, educational, and social. Data were collected from 350 parents in Amman, the capital of Jordan. The findings indicated statistically significant differences in the level of parental care associated with the examined research variables during the COVID-19 pandemic lockdown. In light of these findings, the study proposes relevant recommendations aimed at strengthening parental nurturing practices more broadly.
